Bars Buy Local

A new law allows bars and restaurants to buy limited quantities of alcoholic beverages from local retailers.

Local bars and restaurants may now purchase limited quantities of wine or liquor from nearby retail locations, such as liquor and wine stores. Previously, bars and restaurants could only replenish out-of-stock products from their wholesaler, leading to lost sales.  Under this new law, bars, restaurants and any establishment licensed for on-premises consumption can purchase up to six bottles per week of wine or liquor from a local liquor store or wine shop.  The new law took effect on March 5th.
