The Department of Environmental Conservation has a multi-year plan to study fish in Lake George.
The DEC just released a five-year Fisheries Management Plan for Lake George. With this plan in place, ENCON will focus on collecting data primarily on lake trout, Atlantic salmon, and black bass. A net pen release strategy will be used to improve recruitment of Atlantic salmon and help determine the fate of the existing stocking program.
