Lifeguards Needed

The NY Parks Department needs to fill 1,100 lifeguard positions at parks, pools and beaches statewide.

The annual lifeguard recruitment effort is underway by the NY State Parks Department.  Approximately 1,100 lifeguard positions need to be filled at 80 New York State Parks, beaches and pools.  The current starting wage varies by location but can be as much as $24.00 per hour.  For more information about hiring requirements, and to obtain an application, visit lifeguard@parks.ny.gov
