No Drought

A drought watch posted in the area has been lifted and the Drought Task force reports normal conditions.

All upstate drought regions have returned to “Normal” status.  This includes Warren County in the Adirondack region and Washington and Saratoga Counties in the Mohawk/Upper Hudson region according to the State's Drought Management Task Force.  The change in status comes after the DEC and Drought Task Force assessed recent precipitation and elevated levels of ground and surface water.  The only areas of the state in a Drought Watch are the Long Island counties of Nassau and Suffolk.
