A USPS logistics change could result in bill payments arriving late even if put in mail box on time.
A change at the post office may affect local bill paying. The Postal Service reports they recently adjusted transportation operations in some areas which may cause the date on a postmark to not match the date the mail piece was collected by a letter carrier or dropped off at a post office. This could cause bill payments sent close to the due date to show a late postmark and result in penalties even if mailed on time.
