A major habitat restoration project is getting underway in the Adirondacks. The state Department of Environmental Conservation and Trout Unlimited will replace more than 50 culverts over the next several years in the Moose River Plains Complex. Officials say the work will reconnect 43 miles of brook trout habitat. Road and campsite closures are planned through July 3 while the first phase is completed.
