SPAC Announces Expanded 2026 Concert Season

More big-name performers are being added to the 2026 concert lineup at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Organizers say the venue’s unique setting in Saratoga Spa State Park and capacity of more than 25,000 continue to attract major touring acts as the summer season takes shape.

    A former Albany Rural Cemetery manager is back in custody after authorities say he failed to appear in court and did not meet a restitution deadline tied to a theft case. Prosecutors say 59 year old David Eslinger was found in Glens Falls and now faces possible prison time at sentencing next month.

  • Champlain Hudson Power Project Completed

    A major clean energy project linking Quebec to New York City is now complete. The $6 billion Champlain Hudson Power Express runs 339 miles through Lake Champlain and will provide about one-fifth of New York City’s electricity. State officials say the project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 37 million metric tons through 2040.

    New York is expanding its SUNY Reconnect and CUNY Reconnect programs to include more high-demand career fields.
