New York State Police say a Saratoga County man nearly lost ten-thousand dollars after scammers convinced him to mail cash as part of a fake fraud investigation. Troopers worked with UPS to track down the package in Yonkers before it was delivered and returned the money to the victim. Police are reminding residents that legitimate banks and law enforcement agencies will never ask people to mail cash.
