A local Principal, James Conway, has been named Elementary School Principal of the Year for 2026.

The principal of Lake George Elementary School, James Conway, has been selected as the 2026 New York State Elementary School Principal of the Year. This award is given annually by the School Administrators Association of New York State and the National Association of Elementary School Principals to a principal who is committed to excellence.  The Administrators Association said under Conway’s leadership, Lake George Elementary School is one of the highest-performing schools in the Capital District.
