Northway Chase Ends With 500-Pound Cannabis Seizure
Two Massena residents face felony charges after a Northway chase through Warren and Saratoga counties. State Police say 39 year old Torrey Jackson drove into oncoming traffic and struck a patrol car while 29 year old Tori Rushlow threw bags of cannabis from the vehicle. More than 500 pounds was seized.

Moreau Elementary School Getting New Principal
The South Glens Falls school board is expected to appoint Caitlin Vigliotti as principal of Moreau Elementary School. Vigliotti currently serves as assistant vice principal at Queensbury Elementary. She would begin the 11-month position August 17, replacing Rebecca Hughes, who resigned June 30.

Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Leads To Two Arrests
Two people were arrested after a stolen vehicle pursuit in Washington County. State Police say the chase began Thursday night in Cambridge and ended near Salem, where the car was found disabled in a field. 20 year old Jordan Santiago of Hartford and an 18 year old passenger were later located and charged.

The numbers have been added up, and they show that New York law enforcement agencies issued more than 50,000 tickets during an Independence Day enforcement campaign that ran from June 29 through July 5. New Shepard Park Amphitheater Opens in Lake George
A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening of the rebuilt Shepard Park Amphitheater in Lake George. The historic venue was destroyed by fire in 2024. The $5.4 million replacement was funded with $2.5 million from the state Downtown Revitalization Initiative and $2.9 million secured by the state Assembly. The venue will host concerts and community events.
