Queensbury Pain Clinic Operators Settle Opioid Case
A former Queensbury physician and a nurse practitioner have agreed to pay $500,000 to settle federal civil claims over unlawful opioid prescribing. Dr. Douglas Cline and Laurie McKenna also accepted 20-year bans from holding or applying for DEA controlled-substances registrations as part of the nationwide Health Care Fraud Takedown.
Plea Deal Resolves Saratoga Springs Case
A well-known homeless storyteller in Saratoga Springs has resolved drug and camping ban charges through a plea agreement. Bryan Browne pleaded to two disorderly conduct violations after prosecutors reduced the original charges. The violations will be dismissed in one year if Browne is not arrested again.
