A Ballston Spa couple has filed a federal lawsuit against the village, its police department and Officer Edward Ackley over a 2024 incident that allegedly left 61 year old William Huyben with a broken leg and shattered kneecap. The lawsuit claims excessive force was used during a response to a domestic disturbance call.
