DEC Expands Deer Hunting Opportunities

New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation has approved new hunting regulations aimed at reducing growing deer populations. The changes include expanded antlerless deer hunting opportunities and a new statewide “Earn-a-2nd-Buck” program. Hunters who harvest and report an antlerless deer can qualify for a second antlered deer tag under the new rules.
