Benjamin Warner’s 250 year old knapsack, carried during the fight for American independence, will be featured through August 2. The knapsack includes a handwritten message urging future generations to defend liberty. Fort officials say the historic item has not been publicly displayed in more than a decade and is part of the site’s ongoing 250th anniversary programming.
