An unattended fire in Queensbury has damaged a child’s playground and prompted renewed warnings from the New York Department of Environmental Conservation about the statewide burn ban. Forest Rangers say the April 28th brush fire damaged multiple structures, including a playhouse, before firefighters contained it to about half an acre. Rangers issued a ticket for leaving the fire unattended. The statewide residential brush burning ban remains in effect until Thursday.
