The cold and snow have disrupted fuel supplies causing pump prices to inch up according to the Triple=A.
The winter weather that has wreaked havoc on the area and most of the nation has led to gas supply disruptions and pushed up the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline to $2.87 but it’s still well below last year’s $3.12 according to Triple-A. The below-freezing temperatures and lingering snow have disrupted some crude production and refinery operations, while gasoline demand increased pre-storm as drivers filled up their tanks ahead of the severe winter weather. Locally, Warren County averages $3.03 a gallon for regular gas at the pump the Triple-A survey says.
