The owner of an Albany County driving school is facing 11 misdemeanor charges after allegedly continuing to operate without a license. The state DMV says 54 year old Charles Lanza continued running Learn to Drive School after its license was revoked in March 2025. Investigators say students were told to hide that they had taken lessons through the school. Complaints also included uninspected vehicles, missed instruction and other unsafe practices. Lanza is due in two Albany-area courts next week.
