A new analysis says the proposed Constitution Pipeline could save New York and New England electricity customers about 5-point-8 billion dollars over 20 years. Assemblyman Matt Simpson says the Daymark Energy Advisors report projects about 3 billion dollars in savings for New York consumers. The study also says the pipeline could reduce dependence on oil-fired power plants during extreme winter weather and improve electric grid reliability.
