• Brooklyn Man Faces Felony Contempt Charge

  27 year old Louis M. Duran of Brooklyn was arrested after a disturbance early Thursday on Lake Desolation Road in Greenfield. Saratoga County deputies say Duran punched another person and violated an order of protection. He faces felony criminal contempt and attempted assault charges and was released after arraignment.

• Saratoga County Jail Inmate Charged in Officer Assault

  19 year old J’von M. Flores of Halfmoon faces two felony assault counts after allegedly attacking a corrections officer at the Saratoga County Jail. The officer was treated for injuries to his eye, chest, leg and neck and has returned to work. Flores was sent back to jail after arraignment.

• Missing Saratoga County Woman Found Dead

  69 year old Nancy Ryle of Gansevoort who had been reported missing, was found dead Friday inside her vehicle at a Malta hotel. Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies located her Toyota RAV4 in the parking lot of Home2 Suites. The investigation remains underway.

• Underage Alcohol Sale Leads to Charge

  New York State Police checked 25 Washington County businesses during an underage drinking enforcement detail. Investigators say 24 complied with state law. One employee at the Cumberland Farms on Broadway in Fort Edward was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child after allegedly selling alcohol to someone under 21.

• Adirondack Land Trust Welcomes Environmental Education Intern

  The Adirondack Land Trust has named Theadora “Thea” Duane its 2026 Intern for the Future of the Adirondacks. Duane will develop environmental education materials and lesson plans connecting conservation work with community interests.
