• CDTA Announces Glens Falls Route Changes

  CDTA will change several Glens Falls-area bus routes beginning August 23. The updates include expanded weekday service on Route 402, more frequent service on routes 411 and 412, and reduced or eliminated service on several other routes. A public meeting is scheduled tonight at Crandall Public Library.

• Jointa Lime Marks 175 Years

  Glens Falls-based Jointa Lime Company is celebrating 175 years in business and a place on New York’s Historic Business Preservation Registry. Founded in 1851, the company now operates concrete, asphalt and quarry sites across four counties and has expanded into paving services.

• Missing Saratoga County Woman Found Dead

  Saratoga County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after 69 year old Nancy Ryle of Gansevoort was found dead inside her vehicle Friday at a Malta hotel. Ryle had been reported missing after leaving home earlier in the week. Authorities say the investigation remains underway.

• Netflix Series Seeks Warren County Extras

  A Netflix adaptation of “The God of the Woods” is seeking background actors for filming in Bolton Landing. Applicants must be at least 18 and available for full days, including early mornings and late nights. Filming is expected during August and possibly September.

• Jay Woman’s Death Ruled a Homicide

  New York State Police say the death of 54 year old Patricia Lawrence has been ruled a homicide. Lawrence was found Sunday inside her Carey Road home in Jay with injuries that were not self-inflicted. Anyone with information or security video from late Saturday through Sunday morning should call state police.
