  The Saratoga Race Course season concludes Monday after an expanded 10-week summer meet. Racing fans will not have to wait long for more action. Belmont Park begins its fall meet September 18 following completion of a $555 million renovation.

• Clifton Park Candidate Accused of Driving 110 MPH

  A candidate for the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors is facing charges after allegedly driving 110 miles per hour on the Northway with a revoked license. State Police stopped 40 year old Chad Gregory of Halfmoon back on August 7. He is due back in court next week, on Wednesday.

• Toxicology Results Received in Mechanicville Deaths

  Mechanicville police say toxicology results for six people found dead in a Harris Avenue home do not change the direction of their investigation. The victims included two women and four children. Police expect to release additional details after receiving and reviewing the complete written report.

• Moreau Considers Route 9 Revitalization Plan

  Moreau is developing plans to revitalize the Route 9 corridor between Northway Exit 17 and Butler Road. Proposals include mixed-use development, sidewalks, bike lanes, landscaping and pedestrian crossings. The committee will present its draft plan during a public meeting September 16 at Dango Fitzgerald’s.

• Simpson Honors Women of Distinction

  Assemblyman Matt Simpson honored 12 women during his fourth annual Women of Distinction ceremony in Lake George. Each received an official Assembly proclamation recognizing her service, leadership and impact across the 114th Assembly District.
