• Connecticut Man Admits Fishing Derby Insurance Scam

  69 year old Kevin Kolenda of Norwalk has pleaded guilty to wire fraud for selling fraudulent prize insurance nationwide. Prosecutors say Kolenda failed to cover a $10,000 fish caught during the 2018 Saratoga Ice Fishing Derby. Sentencing is set for December, with Kolenda facing up to 20 years in prison.

• Two Injured in Northway Crash

  Two people were hospitalized following a single-car crash Monday morning on the Northway in Wilton. State Police say the driver and passenger were conscious at the scene. A second crash occurred nearby about 30 minutes later, but no injuries were reported.

• Motorcyclist Killed in Lake George Crash

  State Police have identified 74 year old Bruce Erhardt of Lake George as the motorcyclist killed in a crash last Wednesday. Troopers say his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at Diamond Point and Truesdale Hill roads. The truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating.

• Queensbury Mother Pushes for Nitrous Oxide Ban

  A Queensbury mother is pushing for local, state and federal restrictions on nitrous oxide sales after her 31 year old son died from poisoning last year. Kathleen Boyle will address Warren County officials today. A countywide ban could take effect as early as November.

• Washington County Man Convicted of Murder

  A Washington County jury has convicted Ronald Guilder Junior of murdering his girlfriend, Jessica Keenan, at their Kingsbury apartment in April. Jurors found Guilder guilty of murder, strangulation and evidence tampering after several hours of deliberations. He faces 25 years to life in prison.
