The American Red Cross has declared a national blood crisis as donations fall to a four-year summer low. Type O positive blood has dropped below a one-day supply, forcing the Red Cross to limit some hospital distributions. Donors of all blood types are urged to schedule appointments immediately through the Red Cross website, app or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
