• Albany Woman Jailed on Felony Contempt Charge

  54 year old Sandra McGeough of Albany faces felony criminal contempt charges in Malta. Saratoga County deputies say she violated an order of protection by emailing the protected person in February. The charge was elevated because of a prior contempt conviction. McGeough was sent to the Saratoga County Jail.

• Teen Faces Felony Charge in Wilton Store Theft

  18 year old Angel DeJesus Junior of Ballston Spa faces felony grand larceny charges. Saratoga County deputies say he stole more than three-thousand dollars in cash and merchandise from a Route 50 business in Wilton between August 19th and 24th. DeJesus was released with a court appearance ticket.

• Lake George Man Faces Additional Child Endangerment Charge

  28 year old Ryan Ouimet of Sand Lake faces another child endangerment charge. State police say Ouimet provided alcohol to underage juveniles in Lake George in July. He was previously charged with sexually abusing a child younger than 11. Ouimet was released with a September 3rd court date.

• Red Cross Seeks Blood and Platelet Donors

  The American Red Cross is urging people to donate blood or platelets as the nation’s supply remains vulnerable heading into September. Back-to-school activities and possible tropical weather could reduce donations or disrupt blood drives. • Millions in New York Tax Donations Remain Unspent

  New York Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli says millions of dollars donated through state income tax checkoffs remain unused. The 28 primarily taxpayer-supported funds held 17-point-5 million dollars at the end of the latest fiscal year. Only 13 distributed any money.
