The New York State Common Retirement Fund was valued at nearly $310 billion at the end of the first quarter of the state fiscal year. State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli says fund investments returned just over 6 percent during the quarter despite inflation, higher energy prices and international conflicts. The fund supports retirement benefits for New York’s public workers, retirees and their families.
