• State Police Report Seven DWI Arrests

  State Police report seven DWI arrests across the Capital Region between August 14 and 18. Three drivers allegedly had blood alcohol levels of at least point 18, New York’s threshold for aggravated DWI. Several of those arrested had previous DWI convictions within 10 years.

• Connecticut Homicide Suspect Captured in Saratoga Springs

  Saratoga Springs police arrested a man wanted in connection with a Connecticut homicide. A patrol vehicle’s license plate reader detected the suspect’s vehicle Sunday morning. Officers stopped and detained 55 year old Michael Ranger, who now faces extradition to Connecticut.

• Queensbury Man Charged After Cocaine Seizure

  State Police say a traffic stop on Interstate 87 in Saratoga Springs led to the seizure of more than eight ounces of cocaine. 33 year old Chasaun Pearson of Queensbury faces two felony drug possession charges. He was jailed without bail.
