• Malta Woman Faces Felony Contempt Charge

  54 year old Sandra McGeough of Albany faces felony criminal contempt charges for allegedly violating an order of protection. Saratoga County deputies say McGeough emailed the protected person in Malta in February. The charge was elevated because of a prior contempt conviction. She was jailed pending court proceedings.

• Two Tornadoes Confirmed in Saratoga County

  The National Weather Service confirms two tornadoes touched down in Saratoga County last Thursday. An EF-1 near Wilton produced winds of 110 miles per hour, while an EF-0 near Ruggles Road reached 85 miles per hour. No injuries were reported.

• Moreau Crash Leads to DWI Charges

  57 year old Clifford Murphy the Third of Northumberland faces aggravated DWI charges after deputies say he drove into a ditch on Mott Road in Moreau. Authorities say Murphy had a blood alcohol level of point-27. No injuries were reported, and Murphy was released pending a court appearance.

• Wilton Theft Leads to Felony Charge

  18 year old Angel DeJesus Junior of Ballston Spa faces felony grand larceny charges in Wilton. Saratoga County deputies say DeJesus stole more than three thousand dollars in cash and merchandise from a Route 50 business between August 19th and 24th. He was released pending a court appearance.
